The Hyundai D4CB is a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with Common Rail direct injection. This 2013–2016 variant uses the Delphi Common Rail fuel system operating at 1,800 bar, combined with an MHI TD03L4 turbocharger for strong, low-end torque and responsive power delivery.
It is renowned for its durability and high torque, making it a popular choice for commercial vehicles such as the Hyundai Starex (H-1), Hyundai Porter, Kia Bongo and the first-generation Kia Sorento. A cast-iron block and aluminum 16-valve head give it a long service life under heavy load.
