The Hyundai D4AN is a naturally aspirated inline-4 diesel engine used in the first-generation Hyundai Mighty light truck (1987–1998). It belongs to Hyundai’s older commercial "A" engine family alongside the D4AK and D4AF.
With no turbocharger, the D4AN offers simple, rugged construction and easy maintenance, making it a dependable power source for light commercial work. It shares the strong, mechanical design of the early Hyundai Mighty powertrain lineup.
