The Hyundai D4BH is the 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine used in the Hyundai Starex (H-1), Galloper, Terracan, H100 and Grace, as well as the Kia Bongo. It is a Mitsubishi 4D56-derived unit with a cast-iron block, an aluminum 8-valve cylinder head and a belt-driven overhead camshaft.
Turbocharged with an intercooler, the D4BH produces 100 to 105 hp and 225 to 240 Nm of torque, giving it strong pulling power for passenger and light commercial use. Its mechanical prechamber (indirect injection) design is simple, proven and easy to service.
Each unit is compression-tested, leak-checked and inspected before shipment.
