Hyundai-Kia 1.7L U-series CRDi diesel engine — 116 to 141 hp, ideal for the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson (ix35).
The D4FD is the 1.7-liter turbocharged diesel engine from the Hyundai-Kia U-series family, produced from 2010 to 2019. It is fitted to the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson (ix35), Hyundai i40, Kia Optima and Kia Carens.
It features a cast-iron block, an aluminum 16-valve DOHC cylinder head with hydraulic lifters, a Bosch Common Rail fuel system at up to 1,800 bar, a variable-geometry Garrett GTB1244VZ turbocharger and a chain-driven timing system. Available in Euro 5 (116/136 hp) and Euro 6 (116/141 hp) versions.
Each unit is compression-tested, leak-checked and inspected before shipment.
