Hyundai-Kia 2.2L R-series CRDi diesel engine — up to 200 hp and 441 Nm of torque for Sorento, Santa Fe and Carnival.
The D4HB is the 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine from the Hyundai-Kia R-series family, in production since 2009. It is offered in the Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Carnival (Sedona) and Hyundai Palisade, delivering up to 200 hp and 441 Nm of torque.
It uses a Bosch CP4 Common Rail fuel system at up to 1,800 bar with piezo injectors, a variable-geometry Garrett GTB1752VLK turbocharger and a chain-driven timing system. The strong low-end torque makes it ideal for heavy SUV and MPV duty.
Each unit is compression-tested, leak-checked and inspected before shipment.
