The G4EC is the 1.5-liter Alpha II petrol engine from Hyundai-Kia, widely used in compact models of the 2000s. It combines a cast-iron block with an aluminum 16-valve DOHC cylinder head and multi-point fuel injection.
Producing approximately 88 to 108 hp and around 134 to 144 Nm of torque, it offers simple, reliable performance with good fuel economy. It is used in the Hyundai Accent, Elantra and Verna, and the Kia Rio.
